I'm sure the name Chris Brown rings more than a bell to most of us. His infamous assault to Rhianna in 2009 has cost him so much. He's now the public face of domestic violence.
Well, Breezy decided to make something positive out of all the drama. He may never be forgiven for his violent behavior but can we be positive for a minute and give him a chance to prove himself?
Since the incident, the Grammy Award winner has taken steps to become a stronger, more responsible person, trying to make amends for his past, and promising himself and the watching world never to turn his loved ones into victims again.
Brown wants to use his experiences to raise awareness for the countless people who are victims of their loved ones every day, people abused in the privacy of their own homes, with no public outcry to help them gain the strength and support they need to escape their situations.
Please continue...
He now funds programs to educate youth on issues of domestic and dating violence, hoping to help them avoid or break free from these horrific relationships.
In 2012, he launched his own not-for-profit, Symphonic Love, which uses creative arts to support positive behavior. Through this organization he is able to support a variety of worthy causes, such as the Jenesse Center and the Creative Visions Foundation. Within the first year of the foundation’s launch, 11 scholarships were offered to the Debbie Allen Dance Academy.
Breezy also works with AIDS Project Los Angeles and is a spokesperson for the organization. He raises awareness and fights discrimination and stigma.
Some of the other Charities he supports include;
- Aid Still Required
- Best Buddies International
- Get Schooled Foundation
- HomeAgain
- Red Cross
- Stand Up To Cancer
Well done Chris and please let those hands remain in your pockets. Thank you...:)
